Bring a new lock and its keys,

Let's meet on a bridge by the River Seine.

There we will confess our secrets,

To each other, bare our souls.

Then my dear, attach the lock to the side of the bridge,

And toss the keys to the waters below.

So forever our secret shall remain,

At the bottom of the River Seine.
